Simphiwe Ngema’s Prison Confessions: Actress Admits To Visiting Thabo Bester Months After Husband Dumisani Masilela’s Death
Former Muvhango actress Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema has admitted to visiting Thabo Bester in prison, just a few months after her husband Dumisani Masilela was fatally shot.
Despite appearing to distance herself from allegations connecting her to Thabo Bester, Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema has now admitted to visiting the convicted rapist and murderer in prison.
Ngema has been accused by a popular Twitter account of being an “accomplice” to Thabo Bester’s crimes, which she has seemingly distanced herself from.
Ngema has confessed to visiting Thabo Bester in a statement that was later deleted from her Instagram account. She claimed that the visit was purely for business purposes.
She shared in her statement:
“Thabo Bester was working in the entertainment industry and introduced himself as TK Motsepe.
“He seemed well connected and was able to organise meetings and big events, which I and many other public figures were booked for”.
Referring to Bester’s company, 21st Century Media, which he established from prison in 2018, Simz added:
“To this day, I was never paid for some of the events I was booked for”.
The mom-of-one then admitted to visiting the prison to see Bester 0n 5 April 2018.
She continued.
“I went to prison to demand answers. It was a difficult time in my life, and he owed me money”.
Simz added that she had “nothing to hide.”
Setting the record straight, she added:
“I am not the person who went there on a regular basis, nor was I the last person to visit before his escape.
“The media should stop vilifying his victims and using us as a tool for distraction because we also want answers”.
DUMISANI MASILELA’S DEATH
Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema has admitted to visiting Thabo Bester in prison in 2018, while she was working for “TK Motsepe”, eight months after her husband Dumisani Masilela was killed in a hijacking incident in August 2017.
Simz and Dumisani got married earlier that year, after dating for a few years.
According to Sowetan, five men were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for Dumisani’s murder.
Simz began a new relationship with Zimbabwean model Tino Chinyani in 2019, and they now share a son named Tinyani.
