A video of DJ Peter’ Mashata’ Mabuse speaking to someone while on set moments before being ruthlessly shot dead has ignited talk on social media.

The DJ and MC attended the All-Black With Mashata event at the club and thrilled revellers. On his way after finishing his performance, assailants entrapped him and another person in his cab at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) before launching a fiery blast of gunfire.
The indiscriminate bullets hailed and tore through the body of the car and shattered Mashata. The DJ died upon admission at the hospital, Gauteng police spokesperson Col Noxolo Kweza confirmed.
The person he was with could not escape the gunfire, but he miraculously survived. He is currently getting treatment in hospital. Gauteng police have since opened a case of murder and attempted murder.
“Who Was DJ Peter’ Mashata’ Mabuse Speaking To Moments Before His Death?”
After DJ Mashata’s death, a video showed his last moments at Epozini Lifestyle. Whenever he finished his set, the disc jockey would play “Heal The World” by Michael Jackson before bowing off the stage.
During his last set on his last day alive, Mashata passionately sang along to the uplifting ballad. A person close to the stage started recording him, fist-bumped and sparked a conversation with him. It was inaudible what Mashata and the “fan” were saying, but the DJ gestured with his body.
He gestured to indicate time and waved hands to signal to leave. As Mashata spoke with the person, he also used his hand to swipe across his throat. He was possibly saying he was about to finish his set, but some assumed he was talking about death. Some went further to insinuate that he was talking to his killer.
Apparently the killer of DJ Mashata gave him warning ⚠️ whilst he was still on set and he can be seen mimicking with sign language that after show they he is going to be killed and he took it lightly as he was with bodyguard who is wounded #ripdjmashata #rippetermashata pic.twitter.com/EFZwVboBEi

Momo:
“No, it is his way of checking if they are feeling his set. He is killing it.”
Malume:
“But that’s a sign to say his set is finished.”

“The lies on this App.”
