Singer and reality TV star Phelo Bala has laid bare his pain and disappointment after his ex-husband Moshe Ndiki revealed that he is expecting twins via a surrogate.

However, things turned ugly when allegations of abuse, cheating and violence surfaced, leading to their separation and divorce.

On his 31st birthday on 24 March 2023, Phelo was hoping for a fresh start and a new chapter in his life. But his hopes were dashed when Moshe Ndiki, the actor and TV presenter, took to social media to announce that he is about to become a father to twin babies.
Moshe shared a tearful tribute to his unborn children, saying that he has prayed for this miracle and that this is his gift to himself on his birthday. He also thanked his surrogate, egg donor, friends, and family for their support.
Phelo was shocked and hurt by the news, especially since it was announced on his birthday. He felt that Moshe was deliberately trying to rub salt into his wounds and make him feel worse.
He expressed his feelings on the latest episode of The Bala Family reality TV show, which aired on Mzansi Magic on 30 June 2023.
“He knows how much all of this means to me, and you are gonna announce that on my birthday. You could’ve chosen another day, but you just had to because you knew how that would make me feel. My heart is broken yet again by him,” Phelo said.
All Hopes Squashed
He also revealed that he and Moshe had discussed having children together when they were married but never got around to it. He said he still loves Moshe and wishes him well but feels betrayed and abandoned.
“I’m happy for him, I really am. But I can’t help but wonder why he didn’t want this with me. Why did he give up on us? Why did he leave me alone?” Phelo said.
Moshe has not responded to Phelo’s comments but has been gushing over his unborn twins on social media. He recently posted a picture of their ultrasound scan, captioned “The purest love in the world”.
