Uncle Tony Is Back! AKA’s Dad Shares Rapper’s Childhood Photos
Tony, the father of Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, shared childhood photos of his son on social media. Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA was killed last month in Durban.
On his way to his birthday party, the Sim Dope crooner was shot and killed outside Wish Restaurant in Morningside, Durban. The celebrity chef, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, who was with him, also died.
AKA’s dad recently posted pictures of AKA when he was a teenager on Instagram. This was a way for him to remember his son, who recently passed away in February.
“We learn, and we build, and we grow.”

Last week, Tony posted a heartfelt message to AKA’s girlfriend and rapper Nadia Nakai on social media.
On Thursday, Tony, who had not posted anything on social media since his son passed, praised Nadia Nakai for showing kindness and admiration for the “Fela In Versace” hit maker.
Writing on Instagram, he said:
“@nadianakai Nadia, from the first day that I met you, I knew you were right for my boy. See that smile in his dial! Thank you for loving him. He loved you truly. We love you.”
Nadia was touched and responded in the comments:
“Thank you, I love you too.”
Nadia Nakai and the late rapper were in a romantic relationship, which they kept private until March 2022. They revealed their relationship by posting a video of them kissing in a nightclub in Johannesburg.
After that, AKA and Nadia Nakai showed their love for each other on social media until the “Fela in Versace” rapper died.
