Uzalo Brings Back Old Actors – GC, Mxolisi, Mastermind And Thobile In One Go!
Rumour has it that Dawn Thandeka King’s departure from Uzalo had some damning effects on the show’s performance.
This, coupled with Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe’s exit not so long ago has made a once Mzansi darling just a regular show.
From the January 2021 DSTV report, Uzalo seemed to be going down the drain, losing millions of viewers and it was time show producers put a stop on it.
New developments reaching iHarare desk prove Uzalo producers have finally given heed to viewers’ Petitions.
On Friday, 12 February on Ukhozi FM, Baby announced the return of Uzalo’s actors, GC, Mastermind, Mxolisi and Thobile.
“Good news for Uzalo actors as GC, Thobile, Mxo and Mastermind are coming back to the show,” she said.
Khaya Dladla – who used to play GC also confirmed the rumours on his morning show;
“I’m not sure when I’m going to appear on TV, but we have agreed to come back to Uzalo. I’m preparing to be on set soon,” he said.
An insider told Daily Sun the show’s producers were busy rewriting the storyline to accommodate these actors.
These Uzalo old actors had all left on unclear circumstances.
Their return will surely put back Uzalo on its top spot once again.
Contacted on the developing matter, Uzalo’s spokesperson Nomfundo Zondi did not deny or confirm the rumours.
“I will release a statement when I have all the answers about the matter,” she said.
I’m unable to comment at this stage as production is still undergoing writing changes,” she said.
