Prominent Businessman Shot Dead after Eight Men Raided His House

In a tragic development, a Middelburg businessman was shot dead at his home by armed robbers.

48-year- old Ahmed Yunus Mohamed was attacked after eight armed robbers raided his house.

A CCTV footage shared by crime reporter Abramjee Yusuf captured the moment the eight men armed gang raided Ahmed Yunus Mohamed house before shooting him dead.

According to Abramjee Yusuf, the gang of eight men raided his house in what appears to have been a house invasion.

In the CCTV, the eight men gang can be seen raiding Mohamed’s house. One of the robbers goes on to attack Mohamed. In the footage Mohamed and the robber can be seen involved in a scuffle outside the house, before the robber shot him dead.

Mohamed family members were also reportedly  beaten up before the robbers fled with Mohamed’s car and R300 in cash. The car was later recovered.

The police in Mpumalanga have since launched a manhunt for a gang who shot and killed a prominent Middelburg businessman.

The shocking incident has left Mzansi shocked.  Netizens bemoaned the level of crime in South Africa.

However, on the other hand some social media users suspect that the businessman’s death might have been a hit disguised as an armed robbery. Netizens argued that it does not make sense that the robbers only made off with R300k and called on the police to investigate his family and those close to him.
