A video has emerged showing the exact place where billionaire Markus Jooste fatally shot himself.
Jooste allegedly shot himself in the head on Thursday at around 4 pm on a coastal path over the road from the Hermanus Golf Course.
A day before his death, the 63-year-old had been slapped with a R475 million fine over accounting irregularities at his international firm.

Legal Turmoil Preceding the Tragedy
On Wednesday afternoon, Jooste was formally summoned to appear in Pretoria on Friday morning by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, also known as the Hawks. He would then appear in the Commercial Crimes Court for a bail hearing.
Jooste had agreed to comply, as he had done throughout an investigation which goes back to 2018. He had surrendered his passport to his lawyer and repeatedly assured authorities that he wouldn’t flee the country.
He had made arrangements to board a flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg on Thursday evening, where he intended to turn himself in. However, deviating from this plan, he opted to end his life on the coastal path adjacent to the Hermanus Golf Course at around 4 pm.
While Western Cape police have confirmed Jooste’s death and opened an inquest case docket, some South Africans remain sceptical, entertaining conspiracy theories speculating that Jooste might have staged his death to evade accountability for his actions.

Despite this visual evidence, Mzansi is not convinced that Markus Jooste did not stage his death and is sipping pina coladas at some beach on a tropical island.
