“You Were Right For My Boy”-AKA’s Father Pens Heartfelt Message To Nadia Nakai
Tony Forbes, the father of AKA, penned an emotional letter to his son’s girlfriend, rapper Nadia Nakai.
On February 10, Kiernan Forbes was shot and killed outside a well-known restaurant in Durban. His long-time friend, famous chef Tebello Motsoane, was also killed.
In March 2022, AKA and Nadia made their relationship public by posting a video of them kissing at the Orthodox VIP Lounge in Johannesburg. Since then, they have been open about their feelings for one another on social media.
On Wednesday, Tony took to Instagram to thank Nadia for her support. He said he knew she was the right person for the late AKA.
“Nadia, from the first day that I met you, I knew you were right for my boy. See that smile on his dial! Thank you for loving him; he loved you truly. We love you,” wrote Tony Forbes.
Recently, Lynn Forbes, the mother of AKA, also praised Nadia on social media for being loving and respectful to AKA during their relationship.
“I am forever indebted to you for the way you love and respect my son to this day. You showed him what real love and respect is and you brought out the absolute best in him.
“Kiernan was born with love, raised in love, gave love to so many, and all he wanted in return was to be loved and respected in the same way. You gave that to him, and he died surrounded by love. Thank you,” she wrote.
