Zahara Says Yes! Watch The Magical Moment Of Her Engagement
South African songstress Zahara is over the moon after her boyfriend proposed to her at a surprise event yesterday afternoon.
Bulelwa “Zahara” Mkutukana’s partner, engineer Mpho Xaba, proposed to the renowned and award-winning singer yesterday, asking for her hand in marriage at her home in Johannesburg.
The romantic moment was witnessed by some of Zahara’s friends and family, as Xaba got down on one knee and presented her with an engagement ring, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their love story.
According to TimesLIVE, Zahara’s boyfriend and personal secretary collaborated to organize a surprise proposal by tricking the singer into believing she was getting ready for a podcast interview.
When she arrived home, Zahara was met with a charming setup of flower petals and balloons that read “Marry me,” which added to the joyous surprise of the engagement.
Xaba then took Zahara by surprise as he got down on one knee, whipped out a ring, and proposed to her.
Visibly surprised and ecstatic, Zahara held her hand over her mouth as she paused and gazed at him.
In the video footage, the person behind the camera can be heard encouraging her to say yes. After a brief moment, Zahara finally replied with a resounding “Yes,” bending down towards Xaba, which elicited cheers and screams of joy from her friends and family.
Zahara was visibly emotional as her boyfriend slipped the engagement ring onto her finger, and those around them erupted in excitement, exclaiming, “This is so beautiful!”

Zahara expressed happiness after getting engaged to Mpho Xaba, whom she has dated for six months.
“I’m happy. I’m excited. I love him. It was easy for me to say yes to him because the first time I told him I love him, it was the truth. I was shocked by the fact that it hasn’t been long. I did not expect him to ask me to marry him so soon because it was still new for him to propose.
“It’s just that I said he would take long to say, ‘I’m going to marry you,’ but he said it from the very beginning. So [when he asked], I did not hesitate because I love him.”
