While Zahara’s medical aid covered R712,000 of the expenses, Xaba is now left to shoulder the remaining R108,000.

I am still paying her hospital bill. Her total hospital bill is around R820,000. Fortunately, medical aid covered R712,000 of it. The rest I must pay for it. There is no one to pay for it in the family. Obviously, because they only care about themselves and what they can get from all of this,” Xaba lamented.

Meanwhile, Zahara’s family has also come under scrutiny as reports emerge that her sisters, Bandezwa and Lumka, have begun selling off Zahara’s personal belongings, including her cherished memorabilia and household items.

According to ZiMoja, the sisters are offering Zahara’s bedroom set, lounge suite, kitchen appliances, flat-screen TV, various music awards, and even a double-door refrigerator for the nominal price of R1. It was also disclosed that her expensive brown leather couches were sold for a mere R10,000 each to an individual named Chauke.

Zahara was adored by millions; many would love to see her possessions preserved,” a source revealed.

The source expressed disappointment at the sisters’ decision to sell off her belongings directly rather than exploring options to honour her legacy, such as opening a museum or holding auctions.
