Zahara’s life came to a tragic end just as she and her husband, Mpho Xaba, were making preparations for their white wedding.
Mpho Xaba Devastated by Zahara’s Death
According to a source close to the family who spoke to Zimoja, Mpho is devastated and deeply hurt by the loss of his wife, Zahara.
“He is not coping at all; he did everything he could, but God had other plans for her,” revealed the source.
Mpho Xaba was by Zahara’s bedside when she passed away and did everything in his power when she was hospitalized. Her sudden untimely death has left him heartbroken as he was looking forward to their wedding and spending their lifetime together.
A Tragic End to A Beautiful Love Story
In March, after dating for only six months, Mpho proposed to Zahara with a custom-made ring. A couple of months after their engagement, Mpho Xaba paid lobola for Zahara in November and had a traditional wedding celebration. Sadly, Zahara reportedly fell seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital just 2 days after their lobola ceremony.
Before her hospitalization, her husband Mpho was already preparing to return to Zahara’s family to settle the outstanding lobola amount ahead of their white wedding. Following Zahara’s death, their traditional wedding invitation and pictures from their lobola ceremony photoshoot emerged on social media. The couple invited guests to their traditional wedding, which took place on the 12th of last month. The invitation showed a charming snapshot of Zahara and her husband, Mpho Xaba. The couple had already set the date for their white wedding.
Poisoning And Bewitchment Suscipions
Meanwhile, Zahara’s mother is reportedly still convinced that a jealous family member poisoned her daughter. She believes someone may have intentionally poisoned or bewitched Zahara to derail her from becoming Mrs. Xaba.
“She still believes that her daughter was poisoned all because of jealousy,” said the source.
