Insider Insights on Contract Negotiations

A source who spoke to the same publication confirmed that Black Brain would make alterations to Isitha: The Enemy’s storyline, leading to the removal of some actors. The source clarified that rumours that Zamani Mbatha had been fired stemmed from ongoing contract negotiations with Black Brain.

“Zamani is still negotiating his contract. That is how the rumour came about. His fate has not yet been determined but he has not been fired,’ the insider said.

The source drew parallels with previous reports about Zolisa Xaluva’s alleged firing from Smoke & Mirrors, clarifying that negotiations were ongoing, and contracts were under scrutiny across etv shows.

“At the moment, he does not know where he stands, let us put it that way. It was a similar case when Smoke & Mirrors was in talks with Zolisa. At the moment, etv shows are all under scrutiny and some contracts will not be renewed,” the insider explained.

In a statement, Mandla N confirmed that changes in the production or cast would be communicated officially by the production house.
