Zimbabwean Doctor Sindi Falls Victim To An Undisclosed Illness

Mzansi woke up on a rather dull note learning that one of their favorite doctors on the TL fell ill. Zimbabwean-born Dr. Sindisiwe Van Zyl affectionately known as Dr. Sindi on Mzansi’s Twitter streets shared on Twitter that she has been booked off and is taking precautionary measures as she recovers from an undisclosed illness.

“@sindivanzyl Phone has to go off today – for me to rest properlu Dr @dr_lovelee is in close contact with my pulmonologist Dr Frans Skhosana so she’ll give any important updates The #Caramellos are asymptomatic. My room has been stripped down for cleaning but Manie is within”

Dr. Sindi is known for educating Twitter on popular medical myths and misconceptions in layman’s terms. Her well-curated thread about the dangers of a trusted substance that black people have relied on to relieve pain, fever, and headaches for decades cemented her legendary status on Mzansi social media and popular culture. She has since landed a radio gig and featured in magazines, even landed a cameo role on popular SABC 2 soapie 7de Laan. She is definitely the people’s doctor of choice and has often opened up about the challenges of being in an interracial marriage, which has produced two children which she adores and has nicknamed them ‘caramellos‘ because of their mixed-race skin color.

Twitter users showered her with messages wishing the people’s doctor a speedy recovery.

@dr_lovelee May the good wishes and warm thoughts of those who care about you send a little cheerfulness into your world and help you feel better soon Doc.
