Zoleka Mandela Collapses and Is Hospitalised Again

Activist and author Zoleka Mandela, currently battling cancer for the third time, revealed on Monday morning, 29 May, that she was admitted to the hospital after collapsing on Saturday morning, 20 May 2023.

Another Brain Tumor Found

Taking to Instagram, Mandela shared an update on her cancer journey, explaining that she was admitted to the hospital due to the discovery of another brain tumor.

“This is a very hard one for me,” shared Mandela, who collapsed at home due to the newly found tumor in her brain. She admits that things are not looking good for her at all. Despite this, she remains committed to being honest about her journey, as she vowed to do for the betterment of the cancer community.

Mandela asked South Africans for their continued prayers, not only for her but also for her family and friends. She expressed her gratitude to her loved ones and mentioned her children by name, acknowledging their importance as her lifeline and anchor.

“As I rejoin you in prayer for them all, I will pray for my comfort, peace, and acceptance. Thanking you all for your prayers, well wishes, hope, support, and encouragement,” she concluded.

Zoleka Mandela collapses and is hospitalised

Mandela shared an update stating that she has been discharged from the hospital after spending eight nights there, and she is finally able to sleep in her own bed.

“I can’t believe I was admitted for eight nights and now, finally sleeping in my own bed,” enthused Mandela.

She expressed her gratitude for the dedication, outstanding efforts, and selfless contributions of the entire Oncology Department, the Occupational Therapy team, the Palliative Care Department, the Physio team, and the dynamic team of doctors who supported her during her hospital stay.

“I’M HOME, I’M HOME, I’M HOME!!! Peace. Passion. Positivity,” she joyfully declared.
