AsApply For The Compensation Fund Bursary Scheme

The Compensation Fund is giving an opportunity to people who have permanent disabilities due to work-related injuries or illnesses to develop their skills to return to work or start their own businesses. If you are the dependent of someone who is getting a pension from COID (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases) or a dependent of someone who was fatally injured while working, and you want to continue your studies at a public technical or vocational education and training college, community education and training college, or higher education institution, you may also be eligible for this opportunity.

If you apply for this bursary, you may be given preference if you show excellence and potential in your studies. However, if you do not hear back from the Compensation Fund within two months of submitting your application, it probably means that your application was not successful.

If you are successful, you may receive a renewable award that can cover tuition fees, prescribed learning materials, a monthly stipend, and accommodation at an accredited institution. The availability of funds and your academic performance will determine the duration of your chosen study program.
