Big Brother Star Themba Broly Faces Amputation After Severe Hand Injury
Former Big Brother Mzansi star Themba Broly faces the possibility of having his hand amputated.
In an Instagram post, Themba Mabaso, who came in third place on the show, announced that he would be undergoing surgery on his injured hand.
The celebrity, who is married to Mphowabadimo, the winner of Big Brother Mzansi 2022, also shared X-ray images of his hand before the procedure.
In addition to sharing the X-ray images, Themba Broly also posted a video on his Instagram account from his hospital bed.
In the video, he requested his followers to pray for him as he was undergoing surgery on the same hand for the third time.
The reality TV star revealed that he had previously undergone two operations on the same hand – the first one in 2019 after it broke, and the second in 2021 following a car accident.
According to a report by TimesLIVE, Themba Broly is now undergoing surgery once again due to an injury sustained in a fight.
Before his surgery, Themba Broly shared that there was a possibility of doctors having to amputate his hand if his condition worsens.
This suggests that the injury he sustained may be severe, and highlights the seriousness of his situation.
“I’m going to go to surgery now, and obviously I’m going to need people to pray for me. Your prayers will be needed because, apparently, I took time without doing something about it. There might be an infection in my hand that could cause me not to be able to get my hand back.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. They might cut the hand if the metal cannot be replaced. I have had the same surgery twice. I broke my hand, and it did not heal and could not be fixed in 2019. They put steel plates in my hand.
“Then, in 2021, before I went to the house, I broke my hand again, so they did the same surgery twice. I had an altercation where I bumped my hand, so they have to do the same operation on the same hand for the third time. I love my family, I love my kids, and I have a baby on the way. I’m thinking about that right now.”
