Umuzi eSandton hitmaker Big Zulu has offered to help fellow rapper MusiholiQ after his house burned down in a raging fire.
Another Celebrity’s House In Ashes
Just last week, Skeem Saam actress Innocent Sadiki’s house burnt to the ground. Now, Ncazelo “MusiholiQ” Mtolo’s house in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, burnt to ashes in a random fire on Monday, 15 July 2024. Fortunately, no lives were lost or injured in the inferno.

MusiholiQ stayed in the home with his wife, two sons, his mother, and sister, and they lost virtually everything they owned. The rapper is still baffled over what could have caused the fire, but he suspects an electrical fault as phones were charging on the plugs, although no one was inside when the fire started.
MusiholiQ told Zimoja that the fire started in the kitchen and spread to other rooms within minutes.
“The main switch is next to the bedroom, and we think the fire started there and moved to the bed until it became uncontrollable. Everyone was in the outside rooms and only saw the fire when it had already spread to the ceiling. The main house burned to the ground. Luckily, the smaller house outside that my brother and I used as a studio was saved.”
When the fire erupted, the rapper’s family instantly called him. He told City Press:
“They called me via video call to show me that the house was burning. At that moment, my only concern was for my three-month-old child and my son. When I was told there was no one in the house, I advised them that they should accept [what had just happened]. I told them that no one must be a hero and try to save the house. If lives are saved, we can always buy new things.”
Big Zulu Offers To Help MusiholiQ Rebuild His House After A Destructive Fire
As MusiholiQ and his family start everything from scratch, people have been pitching in to help. His neighbours have been supplying his family with food and clothes, while fans are sending him money. Rapper Zakwe shared a clip of MusiholiQ’s burnt house and mobilised the public to chip in and assist. He revealed that artists were also offering to help.
Big Zulu has vouched to help MusiholoQ rebuild his home.
The rapper revealed:
“When it happened, I called Big Zulu because he is my brother and friend. He is the first person I always call when anything happens [to me]. He offered to help rebuild our home.”
