Emtee On The Hunt For A New Bodyguard After AKA’s Shooting
The death of fellow rapper AKA has led to a number of South African celebrities beefing up their security.
The latest to join the list is Emtee, who took to Twitter to announce that he is looking for a bodyguard and security team.
With the rise in criminal activities in South Africa, Emtee is not the only one looking to increase the security measures around them. Cassper Nyovest – one of the most successful rappers in the country – has been vocal about the need to take security seriously.
Celebrities beefing up their security after DJ Sumbody and AKA’s deaths
Following DJ Sumbody’s death, Cassper said in an interview that he realized he needs to remember who he is and invest in security. The death of AKA has been a wake–up call for other South African celebrities, including Emtee, who are now looking to beef up his security.

Cassper Nyovest has also been vocal about the need to take security seriously in South Africa. In an interview, the rapper said that the death of DJ Sumbody made him realize that he needs to invest in security. He said he is not “just some normal guy who can just walk around freely”.
He added that “we spend a lot of money on stupid things, so why not invest in security and knowing that wherever I move, I am a bit safer and everything is controlled”. The death of AKA has been a wake–up call for many South South Africans this early after another celebrity was also gunned down as well.
