AKA Murder Suspects Lavish Spending Habits After Receiving Bounty Money For His Assassination Exposed
In a shocking turn of events, details have emerged regarding the lavish spending habits of two suspects implicated in the murder of South African rapper AKA and his life-long friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.
The manner in which the two suspects used the bounty money they received from the contract killing of AKA has been unveiled.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) had confirmed the arrests of seven suspects, and five had already appeared in court, with the remaining two scheduled for an appearance before the Manzini Magistrate’s court on 5 March in Eswatini.
Reports over the weekend disclosed that the suspects had received a substantial payment of R800,000 just hours before the alleged hit. The money was traced to Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni’s First National Bank (FNB) account, but the source of the funds remains undisclosed by the police.
While transactional evidence of the payments is said to exist, the exact amounts distributed among the suspects are still unknown.

Speaking to Newzroom Afrika, local residents in Mbabane, where two of the suspects had relocated in November 2023, shed light on the suspects’ extravagant lifestyle. Despite keeping their gates locked, the suspects reportedly hosted extravagant parties with women almost on a daily basis. They spent money on expensive alcohol and drew in numerous attendees, particularly during the festive season. Witnesses reported that the murder suspects also made frequent withdrawals from local cash-out points.
Neighbours have expressed surprise at the sudden influx of wealth, as little was known about the suspects’ lifestyles before their relocation to Mbabane.
