Former Orlando Pirates Footballer Justin Shonga Dies in Hospital

Former Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga has died.

The Zambia international passed away today after a short illness. He was 27 years old.

Justin Shonga’s Death Confirmed

Zambia Police Deputy Spokesperson Dan Mwale has confirmed Justin Shonga’s death in an interview with FAZ Football Media Team.

According to Deputy Spokesperson Dan Mwale, Justin Shonga died at Sikanze Military Hospital in Lusaka, Zambia, after a short illness.

At the time of reporting, details about his cause of death have not been announced. More information is expected to be provided in due course.

Justin Shonga Career Highlights

Justin Shonga was a former striker for the Zambia National Team and played for several clubs, including Orlando Pirates, Tshakhuma, Cape Town City, and Sekhukhune United.

Shonga made 46 appearances for the Buccaneers and scored 10 goals. For the Zambian national team, the Chipolopolo, he made 33 appearances and scored 16 goals.
