DJ Sbu was a guest on a YouTube show hosted by DJ Fresh called “Waw! What A Week”.During the episode, he [Sbu] showed respect for AKA, who sadly passed away earlier this month in Durban outside Wish Restaurant.

Sbu praised the late Sim Dope hit maker for building a legacy that would help his daughter Kairo Forbes financially.

He also said that AKA did not die poor, and his memorial service and funeral were appropriate for someone of his importance.

In reviewing Mass Country album, DJ Sbu, the former radio host said that AKA’s latest project remains one of the best he ever produced.

Speaking on DJ Fresh’s podcast, DJ Sbu extremely criticized fans yet to stream the album, which recorded over six million streams on its first release day.

“If you are South African & you not listening to the brand new AKA, shame on you,” said DJ Sbu.

DJ Sbu’s scathing attack to non-listeners of AKA’s album Mass Country has divided South Africans.

Below are the comments from netizens reacting to Sbu’s view.

Lol, the amapiano artists are not listening to it. Maphorisa, Kabza, didn’t even bother to send a lousy message of condolences.

Was Sbu this loud when Prokid passed? Can we also be told what TS has done for Pro’s family after his death?
