Reavealed! Unathi Nkayi Is Suing Kaya 959 Over Her Termination
Unathi Nkayi appeared on a podcast called Uncalled and revealed that she plans to sue her former employer, Kaya 959. One topic she discussed was the 2022 saga with Kaya FM, which she may talk about soon.
Unathi was fired after a verbal altercation with Sizwe Dhlomo. She was not able to speak about it because the radio station had silenced her. On the podcast, she said that her father convinced her to sue, even though she was resistant at first.
Her father advised her to wait a year because he believed that the radio station would turn on each other. When they fired another employee named Sibongile, Unathi’s father told her that she could now proceed with the lawsuit.
Unathi Nkayi’s altercation with Sizwe Dhlomo
In November 2021, Unathi Nkayi was let go from her duties as a presenter at Kaya 959. This was after Unathi made false abuse allegations against fellow radio host, Sizwe Dhlomo which were proved to be false later on. This led to her termination at the radio. For the weeks that followed, Unathi lost a number of her jobs due to the scandal.
The actress and Television personality had not made a comment on the issue even though she suffered a lot of backlash from fans and the brands that she worked with.
Unathi Nkayi finally takes a stand against Kaya 959
After more than a year, Unathi is now taking her father’s advice and suing the radio station. The public will finally get the chance to hear her side of the story of her termination. The Television personality has not yet said when she will serve her former employer with the suit but she has shown her plan to sue.
