Taking to X, Phil Mphela revealed that Zolisa Xaluva had been fired from Smoke and Mirrors. He however did not reveal why the actor had been let go. Mphela said Xaluva;’s character as one of the three protagonists, Caesar will likely be recast.
“Zolisa Xaluva fired from #etvSmokeAndMirrors. The prolific award-winning actor has been let go from the hit e.tv telenovela — which is the 7th most watched show in South Africa. The role of ruthless businessman, Caesar, will likely be recast,” said Mphela.
As of this article’s publication, Zolisa Xaluva had neither confirmed nor denied his exit from Smoke and Mirrors. Efforts to get a comment from him by ZoomSouthAfrica were unsuccessful.
