Respecting Tradition Amidst Tragedy

In Botswana, as the nation prepares to bid farewell to their loved ones, Minister for State President Kabo Morwaeng assured the families that customs would be honoured despite the circumstances. Due to the extent of damage to the bodies, viewing will not be permitted. The remains, safely encased in sealed caskets, arrived under the care of authorities, ensuring proper identification.

“We recognize the sensitivity of the situation and urge respect for the deceased and their families. The bodies will be transported to designated mortuaries, allowing families to pay their respects before the final ceremonies,” stated Morwaeng.
