Watch: Nadia Nakai Makes Her First Public Appearance Since The Death Of Boyfriend AKA
Nadia Nakai, the girlfriend of AKA, has made her first public appearance since the celebrated rapper passed away last weekend.
Nakai and the Forbes family held a press conference where Tony Forbes, AKA’s father, told the media about the plans for the rapper’s funeral.
AKA’s father, Tony, spoke to the press and thanked everyone for their support following his son’s tragic death. He also criticized rumours that his son’s friends were involved in any way.

The Fela In Versace singer, AKA and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, were killed by gunshots while they were outside the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
He was in Durban to do a show for his birthday celebration tour. The show was dubbed the AKA Supa Mega Birthday Celebration and was one of the events he was doing to celebrate his 35th birthday.
After the shooting, the club announced that the event was no longer happening because of an unexpected situation.
“EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES,” reads the club’s statement after the tragic incident.
A video taken from security cameras at the Wish restaurant, where the rapper was shot, has been shared on Twitter. The footage shows AKA and his friends leaving the restaurant and heading to Yugo.
The video then shows AKA bidding goodbye to his friends with hugs; the last one was with someone wearing a bucket hat.
As he was just about to hug another friend, a person wearing a white sweater and a hat suddenly came in and pointed a gun at him.
The gunman shot AKA in the head, and the rapper instantly fell to the ground, where he died and his blood pooled beneath him.
