Fans Disappointed As Bonang Matheba Remains Silent After AKA’s Tragic Death
Social media users have expressed their disappointment with media personality Bonang Matheba’s silence since the death of her former boyfriend AKA.
Despite many celebrities and fans expressing their condolences for the late Congratulate rapper, Bonang has chosen to remain silent.
Last Friday, AKA and his long-time friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were fatally shot outside a restaurant in Durban.
The news of the rapper’s tragic passing has left South Africa in mourning, while Bonang has remained silent, with her last Instagram post dating back to Valentine’s Day.
Taking to her verified Instagram account, Bonang shared a picture of her wearing a red outfit and captioned the post:
“…the month of love. 🥰❤️ @dhairboutique. Happy Valentine’s Day….🥰❤️ #ValentinesDay”.
While some of those who took to the comments section praised her, a section was unhappy that she has continued to bluetick the demise of AKA. Below are some of the comments:

On the other hand, some have come to the media personality’s defense, claiming that she may have paid her respects privately.
AKA and Bonang were in a romantic relationship from 2015 to 2017. Their split was highly publicized, with AKA dedicating a diss track titled “Beyonce” to Bonang.
In addition to the diss track, AKA also caused controversy on Twitter when he revealed that he found a packet of rocks tied in his bedroom cupboard. Although he did not name anyone, some Twitter users were able to conclude.
DJ Zinhle, who has a child with the late rapper, paid her last respects to him. Even Cassper Nyovest, who was considered AKA’s rival, also paid his respects to the late Jealousy rapper.
