Bone metastasis is a harrowing process where cancer cells migrate from their original location to infiltrate the bones. This phenomenon is particularly prevalent in cases of breast and prostate cancers.

In her final Instagram posts, Zoleka’s countenance bore the weight of her battle. Her face appeared swollen, and her once-lustrous hair had given way to a clean-shaven head. Despite the toll the illness had taken on her, a frail yet determined smile graced her face:

“A few weeks back, I underwent a CT Scan that unveiled blood clots and Fibrosis in my lungs, explaining the persistent chest pains I had been enduring.”

And with that poignant message, Zoleka Mandela’s voice fell silent as she embarked on her journey, #TerminallyFree.
