Peace At Last: DJ Maphorisa And Mlindo The Vocalist Finally Shake Hands
DJ Maphorisa and Mlindo had a disagreement and stopped working together for some time. But recently, they reconciled and shook hands, putting their differences behind them.
DJ Maphorisa helped Mlindo become a famous musician by giving him a chance to sing in a viral video. Mlindo’s voice was loved by many, but he needed more resources to produce music professionally.
How DJ Maphorisa and Mlindo The Vocalist started beefing
DJ Maphorisa saw his talent and signed him to his record label, BlaqBoy Music. However, things turned sour when Mlindo made deals with DJ Maphorisa’s road manager, Nyiko, without his knowledge. This led to a falling out between the two.
Mlindo’s former manager, Nyiko, said that he parted ways with Mlindo about a year ago. Mlindo later admitted that he had a misunderstanding with DJ Maphorisa and Nyiko, but they cleared the air and are now good. They even worked together recently on the deluxe version of DJ Maphorisa’s album Lindokuhle, which was released in 2022.
In his statement to Zimoja, Mlindo The Vocalist, said:
“We are good now; it was just a misunderstanding between my manager and him. He couldn’t get hold of me and blamed Nyiko. Ntwana took over, and Maphorisa lost contact with me. It had nothing to do with exploitation like everyone made it out to be. We sat down, had a chat and cleared the air. We were in the studio three days ago working on the deluxe version of his album Lindokuhle released in 2022.”
