School’s Touching Tribute to Shebeshxt’s Daughter Leaves Mzansi in Tears
In a development that has tugged at the heartstrings of Mzansi, Northern Academy has paid its condolences to Shebeshxt and his family following the untimely demise of his daughter, Onthatile Gladys Chuene.
The nine-year-old girl tragically passed away on Saturday night when her father’s vehicle collided with a truck on the R37 road near Smelters Mine in Limpopo.
Contrary to initial reports, Shebeshxt was travelling from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo to drop off Onthatile and the mother of his child at her home. He had planned to perform at the ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert after dropping them off.

School’s Touching Tribute to Shebeshxt’s Daughter
Northern Academy, where Onthatile was a Grade 3 student, issued a heartfelt statement mourning her loss and extending support to the family. The statement reads:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Onthatile Chuene, a cherished Grade 3 learner at our school. Onthatile passed away on 8 June 2024, and our entire Northern Academy family is deeply affected by this loss. During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Onthatile’s family, friends, and all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate this unimaginable loss.”

Shebeshxt’s Heartbreak
Shebeshxt’s mother Mpho Chauke shared with Sunday World that the rapper is aware of his daughter’s passing.
“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday, when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” said Chauke.
